A wraith awakens on the Shadow Isles, born of Kalista, the dead general of Camavor. Her last memories before her untimely demise flash before her eyes; the betrayal of Hecarim and his men, and the murder of her lover, Ledros. As these last few sparks of humanity flitter away, she and her warriors look towards the world of the living, ready to deliver vengeance to those who call upon her name.

The Spear of Vengeance: Beyond Darkness is an unofficial character trailer for Kalista, a wraith and League of Legends Champion. Created by Future Power Station, this teaser was an opportunity to explore stylised 3D animation whilst working within the established parameters of this character and the world. We enjoyed utilising colour and atmosphere to bring the Shadow Isles to life, whilst showing Kalista’s emotional journey at the moment of her reawakening.
